Designer Jill Johnson/Waterleaf Interiors via House of Turquoise Hi everyone! It has been a g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s weekend so far here in Minnesota and I couldn't be happier about it! I'm spending way more time outside than in, thus very little computer time.
I did have these images in the cue queue (thank you anonymous commenter), however, so I thought today might be a good day to share them with you. Easy post for me (going with honesty is the best policy here) and some nice eye candy and inspiration for you. Win-win, right?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend...
We talked in this foyer/entry ideas post about using an accessorized bench in your entry instead of a console table, but using two stools the way designer Timothy Whealon did here is also an interesting way to mix it up...

I could be wrong, but it looks like they used a rug on this bench to give it a nice pop of striped color...

I like the way they took a phrase they loved and divided it between the two canvases. Simple, but it makes a statement. Another inexpensive way to decorate with words/letters when accessorizing your walls.
Here a red shutter becomes art while cleverly hiding the fuse box. If shutters aren't your thing, think outside the box on what else you could use to make an artistic statement while covering an unsightly element in your space.

A few ideas for your foyer/entry today. Hope you're having a great weekend!
Marthastewart.com says, "Streamlined, wall-mounted nightstands are even more versatile in a foyer, keeping keys, leashes, and other small items at hand, as well as providing surfaces for decorative displays". I agree that it's a great idea! What do you think?

Country Living Photo Eric Roth Happy Wednesday everyone! A hodge podge of decorating inspiration in green for you today. I noticed when I finished the post that most of the inspiration had a springy vibe to it. Guess it tells you where my head is at. It's going to be 60 degrees here today! Just a smidge excited about that. :-)
Some casual mixed up dining with a map in BHG.com's Space Savvy Breakfast Room Banquettes.

This is such a bright, fresh color scheme. Puts a smile on my face...
Good inspiration for how to work with sofa placement by the stairs. I love the mirrors and the creative use of two benches slightly offset in front of the sofa. The texture of the sisal rug helps warm up all of the white. And, of course, the green!

Southern Living via myhomeideas.com Photo Laurey W. Glenn BHG.com suggests using die-cut felt placemats to embellish pillows. I recently saw a bunch of placemats at HomeGoods that would work perfectly for this idea.

Coastal Living Photo J. Savage Gibson In this photo, they fit two rows of books on each shelf by simply raising the back row of books on a piece of wood that's painted to match the shelves.
Remember the damask shower curtain in this damask pattern inspiration post? I ran across this bathroom at BHG.com. Looks like the same curtain?
Southern Living Photo Laurey W. Glenn/Styling Leigh Anne Montgomery A fun pop of chartreuse in this black and white color scheme.
BHG.com This definitely isn't my favorite green, but I like the idea of removing the shelves from the built-in, painting the backs and installing floating ledges instead for a unique look. To see the rest of the DIY projects in this BHG.com living room makeover click here.
This does NOT look like the door I'll be leaving through to check out the warm weather today, but I wish it did! Makes me want to paint my door a wildy fabulous color... :-)

House Beautiful Photo Ellen McDermott This folding screen not only softens the corner but provides an unexpected place to hang your art. Notice the unframed art leaning against the lamp...
I like the framed wallpaper on either side of this bed. I think if it were my room I would finish it off with a mirror in the middle, though. Just a personal preference.
