 I enjoy seeing quirky little details which give interest and character to interiors and for me, animals usually do this. I'm loving these fantastic timber animals from Areaware, New York and they are available in New Zealand from Simon James Concept Store and Fabric. Aren't they fabulous?

Inside Out Bathroom Cabinet by Freshwest for Authentics

Last week I ordered this cool bathroom cabinet from Authentics (UK) for a client. The Inside-Out cabinet was designed by Freshwest for Authentics and it was awarded Best in Bathroom Product by Elle Deco. The cabinet is a great way of bringing something graphic into the bathroom where it usually lacks it.

Design Museum Denmark

Danish Design - I Like it! exhibition at Design Museum Denmark.

This is one cool exhibition that I would love to check out - Jasper Morrison has curated and designed this 'Danish Design - I Like it!' exhibition for Design Museum Denmark in Copenhagen. This has been conceived to celebrate the name change of the museum (previously known as 'Kunstindustrimuseet' - that was a good move) as well as the cool design history that Denmark has. Love the use of textiles on the back panels as well as the colours. I'd also want to leave with most of furnishings too...

New Product- Assembly Stackweave System

Justin and Lou demostrate how easy it is to install the Stackweave.

Today I visited the office of fellow colleagues and architects, Lou Ryan-Wright and Justin Wright, aka Assembly Architecture Ltd. They have started a new furniture range and have created the Stackweave System. These shelves are created with interlocking panels that are joined to form modules. I like especially like the birch plywood version with the white laminate surface. Stackweave is available in several sizes from bedside tables through to the large 2m x 2m square as seen above.
