Blog Inspiration - Daily Imprint

I love reading about inspiring people and lately, to get this buzz, I have been reading  Daily Imprint, the blog world of writer and stylist, Natalie Walton from Bondi Beach, Australia.
If you want to read great interviews by inspiring creative people like The Sartorialist's Scott Schuman, fashion designer Collette Dinnigan, stylist Sibella Court, interior designers India Hicks and Shannon Fricke, this is the blog for you. Check it out here.

Natalie is also a stylist and one of her recent styling job was for Freedom furniture. I love the two pages above (click on the images to see them larger) that Natalie has styled. She has done a great job and I'm impressed by the cool new pieces that Freedom have on board.

Blog Inspiration - Eat Drink Chic

Here is a beautiful blog to be inspired by (my sister, Amelia found this one for me).
Eat Drink Chic is by Amy Moss, a former Graphic Designer from Melbourne, Australia who now calls herself a 'Style Blogger'. She blogs about all things stylish and shares her own graphic projects with free printable stationary for readers.
She has recently posted photos of her Engagement party, at which she and her fiancee surprised their guests with having their wedding ceremony right there and then. She wore her mother's vintage rose wedding dress and had a rustic themed table setting. Read more about the wedding, the preparations and all other things Amy finds lovely here.
In keeping with the theme, this morning I sent a list of wedding blogs (there's heaps!) to my brother's fiancee, Amy. She is brainstorming for ideas for her wedding to my brother, Dorian, later this year. It was a rather long list! Anyway - I'm excited to have a family wedding to attend later this year and have a new sister-in-law.

Blog Inspiration - Studio 98

The 'Moderne' Mood Board

Sketch and development of Rivoli

Final Roll shot of Moderne 2010 (Rivoli 2nd from right and Vionnet third from right)

The development of Mokum's latest fabric range Moderne 2010 can be seen on their blog 'Studio 98'.
One of Moderne's influence was French fashion designer Madeleine Vionnet (1876-1975). She designed beautiful evening dresses in the 20-30's and one of her beadworks has been re-created  by Mokum as an textile pattern called 'Vionnet'. You can also note the Peacock influence for the 'Rivoli' fabric.
As a designer, I enjoy seeing the design process and how the final product came to be. If you do too, have a look at Mokum's blog here. Also check out the Moderne by Mokum website here for more a in-depth look of the new textile range.

Blog Inspiration - Emma's Design Blog

Emma's Design Blog - Design and Style from a Scandinavian Perspective is a blog produced by Emma Fexeus from Stockholm, Sweden.
One of the more long-time blogs from Scandinavia, Emma is a Decorating Assistant and an avid advocate of all things happening in her hometown. One example is the new restaurant (photos above) that has opened in Stockholm called Restaurant B.A.R. The style of B.A.R is true to Scandinavian style - simple, classic, lots of white and with an industrial edge.
If you're heading the way of Sweden, check out this blog to find a true local guide of the whats and wheres in Stockholm.

Blog Inspiration - The Anthropologist

What is Inspiration? This is the question that blog The Anthropologist asks.
From the people of the USA retail brand, Anthropologie, this is an "online space for inspiring work and inspiring individuals".
At present, the blog is highlighting the work of Photographer David Eustance, photographer/film-maker Andrew Zuckerman and New Zealand Director Jane Campion.
From Campion, there is a link to her lovely virtual production scrapbook for her film Bright Star, which includes notes about production, art department drawings, location photos and other details. Check out the Anthropologist blog here and Jane Campion's virtual production scrapbook here.

Blog Inspiration - Inside out

The Australian magazine Inside Out is one magazine that I recommed my clients to source if they're looking for ideas.
What is great is that the staff of Inside Out have a blog where they "happily reveal a few of their favourite things". It is very informative about Australian and International interiors, designers, artists, stores, products, art and anything else they desire. Check the blog out here.
