Fashion Meets Decor: Shades of Neutral

via, clothing via

Happy Tuesday, Cuties! Is your week off to a good start? Does your wardrobe reflect your decor?
Are you drawn to romantic dresses and shabby chic chandeliers? Perhaps your closet filled with little black dresses and stilettos, and your bedroom is glammed out with sexy fur throws, sultry candles and dark rich walls. I think one's closet is always a great place to look when looking for decor inspiration.
Oh... and I totally want those espadrilles... (just sayin')!

Fashion Meets Decor

It's been awhile since I've done a Fashion Meets Decor post. What better place to be inspired than Anthropologie? Anthro is among one of my go to "happy places," (Sephora, coffee shops, and any place that sells books hold the same thrill for me). The gelato shop in the first photo has me craving some Pistachio gelato big time!
Where is your go to happy place?

Your Creative Space

I find that I am most creative when I am surrounded by things I love.
Anthropologie never fails to provide me with new things to swoon over.
From adorable push pins, fragrant candles to stir the senses, whimsical
little notebooks to jot down light bulb moments and of course... a
pretty mug to hold that never ending crucial cup of coffee!
What do you like to surround your self with?

Twas the Night Before Christmas Fashionista Edition

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house

fashionistas were dreaming of a new Anthro blouse

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
with hopes they be filled with products for hair.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was
the matter.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear but a Kate Spade Tray

and eight tiny reindeer.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
the prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Fashionista came with a bound.

She was decked out in fur, her Louboutins were cool,
And her vintage Chanel bag would make anyone drool.

Her eyeshadow twinkled!  Her dimples how merry!
And her little bow mouth was Vesuvio cherry.

She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work.
She filled all the stockings with rings by Trina Turk.
And laying a finger aside of her nose,
and giving a nod up the chimney she rose.

She sprang to her sleigh, while the neighborhood men gave a whistle,
And away she flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard her exclaim, as she drove out of sight,
"A stylish Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

Color Soiree Pink and Gray

I have always loved pink and gray together in fashion but these images prove the combination is just as stunning when gracing an interior.  It is such a flirty, soft and ladylike palate.  The pea coat below is from J.Crew.  I actually bought this exact same coat in charcoal and I wish I had spotted it in pink because I would have snapped it right up.
Everything else is available at Anthropologie.

Saint Nick's List

December is upon us.  Old Saint Nick is busy making his list and checking it twice...

Which list are you on this year?
Naughty or nice?

Who said nice girls finish last?  If that's the case, I'll happily take last place if it means attaining
a J. Crew metallic hobo and vintage pearls!

If the Shoe Fits Wear It

These beautiful shoe displays are creating an intense desire to do some shoe rearranging of my own.
Of course, to achieve the desired look I would have to add some new shoes to my collection.
Here are some shoes I am admiring at the moment:
1)  Michael Kors Vail Boots (perfect for the freezing temps. that will be here soon enough)
2)  Anthropologie Stitched Step Booties (Holy cuteness!)

3) Kate Spade Darla Bow Heel (instant class delivered via heel)
4) Ralph Lauren Pilar Bootie in Bordeaux (rich jewel tone for a burst of color - say no to boring!)

5) Kate Spade flats in Gold Flash (perfect bling to accompany straight legged dark wash denim)
6) Talbots Haircalf ballet flats (every girl needs a dose of animal print in her life)

What shoe are you coveting at the moment?

Fashion Meets Decor Holiday Edition

I love these casual Anthropologie outfits that were styled with entertaining at home, visiting the bakery, and visiting the Christmas tree farm in mind.  I know we haven't had Thanksgiving yet, but my mind is already on Christmas.  I love Christmas and am showing tremendous restraint in not putting up the tree yet, (o.k., it's only because hubby gave me an adamant no and I can't drag it up from the storage room alone)!
I will impatiently wait like a good little elf until the day after Thanksgiving when I will joyfully deck my halls, drink eggnog and listen to all of my favorite classic Christmas music.  (If only I could apply at the North Pole ~ I think I would get along good with the elves and I already know the boss is jolly)!

Color Soiree ~ Red and Gray

It's Friday!  Time to start thinking about the weekend... life is good!  I have decided, (at least in my opinion), that gray is the new black.  Such a wonderful neutral that lovingly lets the other color have the spotlight while subtly providing support without competing for attention.  Gray is the quiet partner in the relationship that lets the other color have the big personality.  Do you know any couples with this dynamic?  Are you the big personality in a relationship or more of the reserved type?
