Simply Smitten: Cabinetry Eye Candy

Oh, hello... I think i love you. I know we just met but I hope you won't mind if I start moving all of
my china in tomorrow..... (if it's wrong to love cabinetry then I'm guilty as charged)!

Spring Breezes

Happy Monday, Cuties!
Do you celebrate Easter? How was your holiday?
We decided to forgo tradition this year and met family at the beach for
seafood. It was a nice change. The weather was fabulously perfect. We
took the roof off the jeep and enjoyed the warm breeze on our skin and
some good driving tunes. The day was completed with a stroll along the
beach and some sand between our toes. This could very well become a
regular tradition. Do you have any unusual traditions?

Simply Smitten: Katrin Cargill

This London townhouse by interior designer, Katrin Cargill, is so utterly charming. I am simply smitten by all of the lovely little details from the wallpapered closet, to the candy cane stripes and built in bookshelves with stories just waiting to transport one to a different time and place. I could use a bit of a reprieve in a cozy London townhouse after school vacation week. It has been fun... lots of sleepovers, lots of teens, and another college visit scheduled today with our son for accepted students day. If I haven't been by your blog to say hello I apologize, it has been quite the busy week.

Thank you to everyone who entered my Atlanta Bartlett giveaway! The winner chosen by Random.org
is Elizabeth of Pretty Pink Tulips. Congrats, Elizabeth, just email me which book you would like.

Sail Through With Style

via 1, 2, 4, 3

Stripes are just plain fun. They add instant interest to an ordinary outfit or room.
Adding a nautical twist to your outfit is a classic look that will never go out of
style. I may turn green with motion sickness even just glancing at a boat, but at least
I can look the part!

Will you be adding any nautical elements to your wardrobe this Spring?

Fashion Meets Decor

interiors via 2 ,3, 4
It's been awhile since I've done a Fashion Meets Decor post. What better place to be inspired than Anthropologie? Anthro is among one of my go to "happy places," (Sephora, coffee shops, and any place that sells books hold the same thrill for me). The gelato shop in the first photo has me craving some Pistachio gelato big time!
Where is your go to happy place?

Color Soiree: Creamy Whites

This gorgeous cottage is set in a historic and enchanting section of Sonoma, CA. It is owned by an antiques dealer which explains all of her gorgeous furnishings. I just love how a house transforms into a reflection of one's personality within the right hands.  I don't know about you, but I have my bags packed in case this cottage ever goes on sale. I'm ready to buy it fully furnished. The Sonoma Valley location certainly doesn't hurt either!

Left Bank Retreat

This Parisian apartment was designed by the uber talented Thomas Pheasant. The creamy palate and symmetry of the rooms lend an air of sophistication. This would be the perfect place to return after a romantic dinner at L'Ambroisie. Now if I can only figure out where to find those chairs with the sexy lace up backs... they remind me a bit of a corset.... ooh la la.

Color Soiree: White & Green

via

We have some rain heading our way this weekend so I may have to get my green indoors. I love a painted bookshelf. Isn't it great how such a small splash of color makes such a big statement? So true in fashion as well. Little additions like red lips, colorful shoes, or a bright handbag can completely change an outfit.
Anything interesting in your life this weekend?

Sand Castles

via 1, 2 3, 5 +6, 4
I have never outgrown my love of building sand castles. If there is a group of kids on the beach, you'll find me right smack dab in the middle digging and sculpting with the rest of them.  Someday I hope to build a real sand castle that overlooks the ocean. I envision morning strolls on the beach, magnificent sunsets in the evening, lobster bakes with loved ones, and falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing outside my bedroom window. Would you love to live on the beach? If you are lucky enough to already do so... what is your favorite part about it?
